AMETHYST

Amethyst’s shades of purple, colour symbolizes royalty, richness. Also known as the Bishop's Stone. Amethyst is believed to symbolize piety, humility, sincerity and spiritual wisdom. It is also used as a dream stone to help insomnia. Amethyst is the birthstone for February and is the Zodiac stone for Pisces.

AQUA CHALCEDONY

Chalcedony is believed to one of the very first raw materials used by mankind, Chalcedony rings that were worn by ancient Romans are still found in remarkably good shape today. Chalcedony was used as a sacred stone by Native Americans, Chalcedony is believed to increase endurance, stamina, vitality, and to promote emotional balance, kindness, charity, and friendliness.

 

BLUE CHALCEDONY

Blue Chalcedony’s name is derived from ‘Chalcedon’ or ‘Calchedon’, It has a waxy lustre and appears in a great variety of colours including blue, white, tan, green, red, grey, black, yellow or brown. Chalcedony is said to nurture and promote brotherhood and good will. It is believed Chalcedony absorbs negative energy and dissipates it, harmonizes mind, body, and spirit, and instils generosity.

 

GREEN CHRYSOPRASE

Chrysoprase was used by the Greeks, Romans and Egyptians in jewellery and other ornamental objects. It is said that chrysoprase helps make conscious what was unconscious by strengthening the workings of insight and the higher consciousness. It is thought to encourage hope and joy, and it is believed to be a calming stone that helps those who wear it work through their problems without the distractions of everyday life. Chrysoprase was said to have been the favourite gemstone of Alexander the Great.

 

LABRODRITE

Labradorite is a sodium-rich variety of feldspar. Valued for its lustrous metallic reflections, this iridescence appears as stunning rainbow-coloured reflections when light strikes the gem in a particular direction. This effect often appears in violet, blue, green, yellow, gold and even reddish orange tints. It is thought that Labradorite brings out the best in the wearer, and is sometimes known as the Self-Esteem stone.

 

LAPIS

The word Lapis is the Latin word for ‘stone’. ‘Lazuli’ owes its name to the Persian word ‘lazhward’, meaning blue. Lapis lazuli is actually a rock. The best lapis is a rich royal blue colour with no visible calcite and just a light dusting of sparkling flecks of pyrite (fool’s gold), adding to its mystical allure.Attributed with great curative and purifying properties, lapis allegedly points the way to enlightenment, and aids in the opening of the third eye.

 

MOTHER OF PEARL

Mother of Pearl gets its name from the fact that it is the iridescent lining of shell, where pearls can grow. The play and variety of colours represent change as the beauty of existence. Mother of pearl has a special symbolism in China, where it is highly prized as a stone that attracts fortune and happiness to anyone who owns it. It is considered a good luck amulet as well, and is often given to loved ones to wish them good luck and prosperity in life.

 

SMOKEY QUARTZ

Smokey quartz is an earth-toned transparent quartz that comes in a variety of shades, including cognac. Also called as ‘champagne on ice’, smokey quartz gets its rich warm colours from colour centres related to aluminium.

As a healing stone, Smokey quartz is known to have a relaxing effect, help block negativity and aid in meditation. It is thought to stimulate self-respect and self-esteem, and is used in healing for grounding and draining away negative energy.

 

TURQUOISE

Turquoise is one of the oldest protection amulets, and was also known as a symbol of wealth in many ancient cultures.It was a lucky stone and that it had powers of benevolence.
